Annual Report 2017-18

Esteemed chief guest of the day, Prof. P.P. Patil, Vice Chancellor, NMU and Chairman of VMC, distinguished invitees, members of VMC, HODs, parents, principals of nearby schools and colleges representatives of press, media staff and students.

I take this opportunity to extend a warm welcome to Honorable chief guest Prof. P.P. Patil, Vice Chancellor, NMU Jalgaon, for having graced this occasion despite his busy schedule. I also extend a hearty welcome to all VMC members, other guests, parents, students and prize winners to this august occasion of 21st annual day celebration of the Vidyalaya.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, one of the prestigious institutions imparting quality education throughout the nation and abroad since 1963. It’s an autonomous body under ministry of human resource development, government of India. Its main objective is to educate children of transferable central government employees who are getting transferred quite frequently. It is administering 1142 schools throughout the nation and 3 abroad.

Our Vidyalaya KV MNU Jalgaon is one of the KV’s, founded under the sector institute of higher learning with NMU as its sponsor. Our Vidyalaya is situated in a pristine and peaceful location in the lush green campus of NMU, away from the din and bustle of the city.

The Vidyalaya after its establishment in 1996 has prospered in all spheres of educational arena under the kind patronage of NMU, Prof. P.P. Patil honorable vice chancellor, NMU, and the chairman, Vidyalaya management committee has always taken keen interest in providing all the necessary guidance, support and facilities to the Vidyalaya.

Academics

Vidyalaya continues to perform well in the academic sphere securing 100% result in AISSE 2017 (class 10th ) and 100% in AISSCE (class 12th.) CBSE Board Exams 2016-2017 were held this year.

 

And Mast. Jaswant Vijay Singh Patil of class 12th topped in his 12th  CBSE Board examinations with 84.4%.

 

1)      Achievement in Science:

In Science two students participated in 44th Jawaharlal Nehru Science, Mathematics and Environment Exhibition for children 2016-17 at Regional Level, in this exhibition Antara Puranik from class XI secured first position and was selected for KVS National Science Exhibition and there at National level too she secured second Position and selected as a sole participants to represent KVS at National Level Science Exhibition conducted by NCERT at Bhopal from 10th November to 16th November 2017.

 

2)      Maths Olympiad:

To test the mathematical skill of our students, KVS organizes the cluster level  Maths Olympiad and it was held at our school.  34 students participated in this exam at cluster level.

3)      Sports & Games:

We hosted cluster level, Badminton competitions in Indoor Stadium of NMU Jalgaon where nearly 60 students participated from 9 KVs of Nasik and Ahmednagar cluster. From our vidyalaya 61 students participated at cluster level in various games such as Kabbadi, Yoga, Swimming and Table Tennis and 23 students were selected for regional level sports meet and 5 students namely Jai Patil, Bhardwaj Patil, Ishwar Shirole from class 9th Class and Shrushti Thorat of class VII and Deepali Mahale of class VIII were selected for KVS National Level Competition in Yoga and at this level Jay Patil secured IIIrd Position and won bronze Medal then he was selected for SGFI and represented KVS in Yoga under 17 at Durg, Chattisgarh.

4)      Arts:

Our school is enthusiastic not only in studies and sports but also in Art activities. To sharpen the artistic sense of the children in the field of Art & Craft various activities are taken up.

On the occasion of Vigilance awareness week we had Drawing and Painting competition on the topic Anticorruption in which nearly 35 students participated. Veena Patil of class X secured first position , Anuja Maske of class IX secured second position and Jahnvi Patil of class IX bagged third prize.

 

5)      CCA

We organize various co-curricular activities and competitions in different fields to develop the talent of our students. To develop different habits in them, we give opportunities to the students to organise and anchor various programmes on different occasions.

            Through many competitions, such as News reading, Group Dance, Group Song, Poster Making, Skits, Debate and Quiz Competition was conducted on the occasion of Constitution Day and KVS Foundation Day. We make the students able to grab their interest and help them to make the most out of every opportunity. With this kind of overall exposure to all the fields, the students are enlightened and so they become focused to their aim in life.

 

6)      Exams (UGC – NET & IIT – JEE)

Examinations like UGC- NET were also held at KV NMU Jalgaon. This exam was coordinated by us for the Jalgaon city.

From last three years KV NMU Jalgaon is the centre for CBSE board exams for class 10th and 12th. Because of that, the students of this Vidyalaya appear for the board exam here only.

 

7)      Field of Social Science Exhibition:

At different levels in KV Sangathan this competition is organized every year. This year 34 students from our Vidyalya participated in which Ajay Patil of class VIII secured Ist position in Hindi Debate competition and Isha Kasat of class VII secured Ist Position in Drawing & Painting Competition and both were selected for Regional Level Social Science Exhibition and participated at KV No.1 and KV No.2 Colaba, Mubai respectively.

 

8)       Scouts & Guides:

This year in Scouts & Guides 03 students qualified in TritiyaSopan Testing Camp. 03 Scouts and 02 Guides successfully completed Rajya Puruskar Testing Camp held at Mumbai and are eligible for Rastrapati Puraskar.

 

 

I take this opportunity to thank honorable vice chancellor NMU Jalgaon and chairman of the VMC who has the keen interest in all the areas of the development of the Vidyalaya. I would like to thank all the members of VMC who have always stood by us. I also thank the special invitees, staff of NMU, media persons, Principals, parents and the staff for the genuine help and let us hope the same continues for the years to come.
